Most patients are referred to Legent by their providers, this means they rely on imaging, such as MRI, CT scans, x-ray’s etc, to help properly diagnose you.

WHAT TO EXPECT
After scheduling, we ask all patients to arrive at our facility at least 15 minutes prior to their appointment time to complete their screening forms. Once completed, you are officially checked in!

Our technicians will guide you every step of the way, and answer any questions you may have.

You may also be asked to change clothing if it interferes with the scans. Gowns and a changing room will be provided.

After completion of the scan our technicians will give you a copy of your scan on a CD, send your study to your referring provider, and upload your scans to an accessible physician portal for your provider to review instantly.

How long will my scan take?

MRI: Approximately 40 min

CT: Approximately 30 Min

XR: Approximately 5 Min

- Can I get a scan even though I’m pregnant?
- We cannot administer CTs to pregnant women.
- We can administer MRIs and XRs to pregnant women; however, please consult with your ordering physician before scheduling. At the time of the scan, we will require you to sign a consent form stating there are no known biological risks from an MRI or X-ray.

Can I get a scan even though I have a stimulator?

Most stimulators are image compatible; however, we require information regarding the stimulator. Please contact your stimulator rep and have them provide you a card that states the manufacturer, serial number, and the date of the implant. Our technicians will contact the manufacturer to ensure compatibility.

Can I get a scan even though I have hardware?

Yes, our technicians will instruct you during the scan.

Do I need to bring anything?

Please bring a valid photo ID and your insurance cards.

Can you accommodate for claustrophobia?

Absolutely! We can administer anesthesia to patients with claustrophobia, however more often times, your ordering provider can easily prescribe you a medication to help, prior to your scan.

Will I need a driver?

Unless we are administering anesthesia, you will not need a driver.
